Hey Guys,

Unfortunately with our last release, and its instability, we were forced to roll back releases. Unfortunately in doing so, it would seem that our notification system has been broken somehow. Our engineers are working on this issue as quickly as possible. We hope to have a patch within the next day, so we can deploy our code and fix the notification system at the same time. Please *bear* with us ;)

Currently all notifications are being queued up so they can be processed as soon as the fix is pushed and verified to be working correctly.

Thank you,

I'm missing one of the birds but it was similiar to Crown. I don't know who got the lion one but you are so lucky. I wanted it sooo bad but didn't get my christmas bonus until the next day - I nearly cried! I did buy the penguin one though...

**EDIT Thu Dec 3 23:24:15 UTC 2009 **

Hey Everyone, we are about to run the last alter job that we need to on our database servers. This will effect userpics / scrapbook / vgift images for the next few hours. Have no fear, your images aren't lost, there is just a really intensive process running on the servers which store the information for mogilefs. Thank you for your understanding and all the LJ love...

Hey LJers,

I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be performing some mogilefs maintenance over the next few days. We will be upgrading our current version to latest stable as well as changing some db config information to better handle the amount of files we are currently hosting. This shouldn't cause a big impact on site stability, but you may see some minor delays with userpic / scrapbook images appearing or other requests associated with our mogilefs. We would love to not have that happen, but unfortunately with some of the steps we need to take we have to cause a delay with images. I figured this was a better solution than taking down all of LiveJournal because well lets face it, we all need our daily LJ fix ;)

Thanks,

I think sometimes that I live in the future the way that some people live in the past. I don't mean that I can see the future (although I do have a wicked accurate intuition but sometimes I think that's more foresight than anything) or that I have Big Plans for what the future holds and everyone will see one day. I mean that I focus on a point or event in the future and regardless of how anxious waiting makes me, the present isn't good enough anymore so I plan and look forward to that one moment. I used to think that the planning and excitement is better than the actual moment but then I learned to let go of all my previous hopes for what may occur and enjoy the moment, whatever happens. It seems so ridiculous but it works for me.

Right now, May 15th may as well be embossed and lit-up neon green because I am so excited about moving out of this too expensive, cockroach-infested, pretentious building where I can hopefully find more stability and months where I've saved enough money to buy the things I've been without for so long (such as a desk, pots and pans, table and chairs). I remember when I moved here, how I started a two-month countdown and even wrote a song about how excited I was to move. When I finally got here, I was practically buzzing with energy and couldn't sleep until two or three in the morning. I look forward to experiencing that high again.

I love moving and have moved thirteen times in my life already. I can't even remember all the places I've lived... but these are the ones I do remember.

A friend's house somewhere in Ohio for the first year of my life when Autumn left me to chase a man to Arizona where she got pregnant with my brother.
An apartment possibly in Alliance where I apparently tried to crawl out a window.
A trailer park (tease me all you want... I HAD FUN) where I lived until I was about five.
The cat-litter house with green awning in Mineral City until I was ten.
Tim's beautiful, decrepit house in Dover for one year...
Then the small rented white one in town for two years after they divorced and he was stalking her.
A business property in New Philadelphia until I was fourteen.
The gas-scented house in Alliance? with Dave (and we all know how that went) until a few months after I turned fifteen (and the trial was over).
The sloped roof house in Canton where I lived for... maybe five years.
Linda's brand-new duplex in Alliance until a few months after I turned twenty-one.
Ryan's house here in Missouri for a few months.
Imperial Gardens in St. Ann through my 22nd birthday until May of 2008.
WECA in St. Louis until... NOW!

And I know I've lived other places that I don't quite remember. This is part of the reason I used to want to study architecture... so I could someday design my own home and finally have stability and travel to get that high I so love.

I'm working on creating a registry so I can keep track of things that I'd like to purchase when I do move IN FIVE AND A HALF MONTHS. I'm so damn weird. The apartment I'm looking at right now is almost $200 less than what I'm paying now and has a full albeit small kitchen with an OVEN! I'm so looking forward to walking to the ghetto Schnucks up the street and coming back home to make a lasagna. FUCK YEAH! I LOVE MAKING LASAGNAS! Dude. I want to have a dinner party Grace Adler style and make cookies or cupcakes every Friday night and STUFF. Oh em gee. I'm seriously the most ridiculous person I've ever known. GAH! I'm going to bake cookies and bring them to my neighbors when I introduce myself! I WANT TO BE MONICA GELLER!

I can't wait to meet my new apartment and find out his or her name. There's been Emma and now Emerson. Who are you, next apartment?!

Tree Ornament

Forgive me for pulling out a picture from last year, but I promise to snap some new shots soon.

I hope everyone enjoyed a lovely holiday week! We visited both sets of my grandparents and I think I've finally recovered from the birthday & Thanksgiving gorging (both of us had a birthday last week & got to pick a restaurant). This weekend Justin and I were clutching our bellies and crying for salad.

I am *so* ready for Christmas this year, and have already spent a week with Christmas movies. The (tiny) tree is up & decorated, and we are constantly having to keep guard with a water squirt bottle because Indy is obsessed with chewing on the fake tree's needles/leaves. We have this problem every year, but he get's over it after a week or so (or maybe he just learns to chew when we are sleeping?)

I think it has been two weeks since I've gotten any printing done. Partially because I ran out of fabric, and the busy holiday week didn't help, but today I was able to print off some more owls in red on white. I love that printing with the same colors means I don't have to re-photo & edit everything for the Etsy listing, but it does make me sad to not have any new pics to share on here. I do have some new color combos and some new crafts coming up soon though!

So much going on lately, I'm sure I've forgotten something!

Planning to do your part to help boost the declining publishing industry this holiday? Better check here first. Sure, there are plenty of folks who post glowing reviews of their favorite books. But what about the epic fails? Compose and/or discuss snarky, incisive critiques on the books you despise most.
